4,000 Participants Walked Barefoot For Habitat-Barclays Bare Your Sole 2011!

Singapore, 20 June, 2011 - On Saturday morning, 18 June, over 4,000 barefoot walkers braved threatening conditions to participate in this year's Habitat-Barclays Bare Your Sole barefoot charity walk.

The rain stayed away, however, and the day kicked off at 8AM as scheduled with a warm-up led by a fitness instructor. Walkers then set off on the picturesque 2.5 and 4 kilometre routes to help raise awareness and funds for Habitat For Humanity's projects that build homes and fight poverty around the world.

This year saw Spectrum Worldwide partnering with Barclays Bank and Habitat for Humanity Singapore to organise the barefoot charity walk event. Previously held at East Coast Park, participants were treated to a new and exciting route at the Gardens by the Bay East. Participants were also treated to a morning of entertainment, including food and music, games, and a special beat box performance - all for a good cause!
